You must be at least 18 years of age to register and attend. Event registration is subject to availability and may close before any advertised deadline, at our discretion. We reserve the right to change the Event programme, speakers, or format at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of material changes.
At all times during the Event you must comply with our Code of Conduct, which is available at meet-magento.co.uk. The Code of Conduct is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Safety and Security
The safety and security of all attendees is our priority. You acknowledge that you and your belongings may be subject to reasonable security checks upon entry to the Event venue. You may be required to provide photographic identification. If you decline to cooperate with these measures, we may refuse you entry to the Event without liability to you.
We reserve the right to remove you from the Event at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, your behaviour poses a risk to the safety, security, or wellbeing of any other attendee, speaker, sponsor, or member of staff. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
3. Your Information and Privacy

If you have any queries about how a sponsor or partner uses your data, please contact them directly.
3.3 Photography, Film, and Voice Recording
By attending the Event, you acknowledge that photography, filming, and audio recording will take place at the Event. You consent to your voice, image, and likeness being captured in such recordings and to their use in accordance with Section 4 below and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, please make this known to a member of our event staff at registration and we will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate your request.
3.4 Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability, in each case subject to the conditions set out in applicable data protection law. To exercise any of these rights, or if you have any concerns about how your data is being used, please contact us at privacy@wearejh.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data.
4. Recordings and Your Materials
You grant J Huskisson Ltd and the Magento Association the right to record, film, photograph, and capture your voice and image in any media at the Event ("Recordings").
You grant to J Huskisson Ltd and its affiliates, agents, employees, and assigns a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute all or any part of the Recordings and any materials you submit or present at the Event ("Your Materials") for purposes relating to our business, including the promotion of future Meet Magento UK events.
We may edit Recordings and Your Materials, use them together with other content, and permit others to use and share them. You represent and warrant that Your Materials are accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you hold all necessary rights and consents to grant the above licence, and that Your Materials do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
5. Registration Fees and Taxes
Where a registration fee is payable, all amounts are stated exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at the applicable rate and will be shown separately on any invoice issued to you.
You are responsible for any other taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your registration under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are eligible for any exemption from VAT or other indirect tax, it is your responsibility to provide appropriate evidence of exemption before registration is confirmed.
6. Cancellation
6.1 Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel your registration, please contact us as soon as possible at the email address set out on the Event registration page. Our refund policy, including any deadlines for cancellation, will be set out on the Event registration page at the time of booking. 6.2 Cancellation or Changes by Us
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or make material changes to the Event at any time, including due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 11.3). We will endeavour to notify registered attendees as soon as reasonably practicable in any such case.
If we cancel the Event and you are in compliance with these Terms, we will offer you either a full refund of your registration fee or a transfer to a future edition of the Event, at your choice. We will not be liable for any other losses you may incur as a result of cancellation, including travel, accommodation, or other expenses.
6.3 Survival

You confirm that neither you nor any institution used to fund your registration is subject to sanctions or appears on any applicable government list of prohibited or restricted parties, including those maintained by HM Treasury, the UN Security Council, or the European Union.
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or behaviour that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the Event without refund.
8. Assumption of Risk
Your attendance and participation in the Event is voluntary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you accept responsibility for any risks inherent in your attendance, including those arising from the physical nature of the venue and activities.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, J Huskisson Ltd and its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable to you for:
- any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage;
- loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, or goodwill; or
- any loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Our total aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms (whether in contract, tort, including negligence, or otherwise) will not exceed the registration fee paid by you for the Event.
Nothing in this Section 9 affects any rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content presented at the Event, including presentations, materials, and branding, remains the intellectual property of the respective rights holders. You may not record, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Event without the express written consent of the rights holder concerned.

11. General
11.1 Waiver
A failure by us to enforce any provision of these Terms on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision on any other occasion.
11.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
11.3 Force Majeure
Neither party will be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performance, to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, civil unrest, governmental action, industrial disputes, or failure of telecommunications infrastructure.
11.4 Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your registration or any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, provided that your rights under these Terms are not materially affected.
11.5 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11.6 Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms, the parties will first seek to resolve it through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved by negotiation within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) before commencing legal proceedings.
11.7 Amendments to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at meet-magento.co.uk. If we make material changes before the Event date, we will notify registered attendees by email. By attending the Event, you agree to the version of the Terms in force at that time.
11.8 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JH in relation to your registration and attendance at the Event and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
